Richard Moore is a Co-Founder and Managing Director of RMK Maritime.

Richard has been working exclusively in the shipping industry for 30 years. He has chartered, bought, sold, financed and arranged the investment in more than 150 vessels in multiple shipping sectors with values exceeding $5.0 billion.

At RMK, Richard oversees the London office and focuses on client development with an emphasis on leasing, first-mortgage debt and special situations.

Prior to RMK, Richard oversaw Syncap Marine Limited, which he founded in 2006. Syncap structured the investment, financing and commercial management on more than $500 million in maritime assets and was ultimately merged into RMK. Before Syncap, Richard worked at Synergy Finance Ltd, a UK tax leasing specialist and financial restructuring firm which arranged more than $3 billion of tax leases in shipping. From 1994 – 2002 prior to his career change into maritime finance, Richard worked in various sale and purchase and chartering brokerages.

Richard is a Liveryman with the Worshipful Company of Shipwrights, is a Trustee of the Parachute Regiment Charity with focus on the Charities finances and investments and is a Trustee of AAL Museumand its associated Museum. Richard was a former serving member of the Parachute Regiment.
