Michael Burgess is an Associate Director at RMK Maritime.

Michael has over 5 years’ experience in ship finance and has been involved in a wide variety of transactions across differing structures including mezzanine finance, sale and leasebacks, and syndicated debt.

At RMK, Michael focus on first-mortgage debt and leasing.

Prior to joining RMK, Michael worked as a solicitor at Stephenson Harwood and HFW where his practice focused on advising private equity backed alternative investors in the maritime sector. During this time, Michael also spent six months on secondment with Fleetscape Capital.

Michael obtained a Bachelor of Arts (Politics) with honours from the University of Nottingham and also holds a Bachelor of Law.
